Documents Required
Business Details
- Certificate of Incorporation: Proof of the company's legal existence.
- Business Registration Certificate: Document indicating the registration of the business.
Identity and Address Proof
- PAN card and Aadhar card of the company directors or authorized signatories.
- Passport-sized photographs of the directors or authorized signatories.
Logo/Brand Representation
- Clear representation of the logo or brand for which registration is sought. This could be a high-resolution image or a digital file.
Power of Attorney
- If a trademark agent or attorney is representing the company, a Power of Attorney authorizing them to file the trademark application on behalf of the company.
Form of Authorization
- Authorization letter from the company to the person filing the application, specifying their authority to file the trademark application.
Goods and Services Classification
- A list of goods and/or services for which the trademark is being registered, categorized according to the appropriate classes.
Priority Document (if applicable)
- If the company has claimed priority based on an earlier application in another country, a certified copy of the priority document.
User Affidavit or Declaration
- A statement confirming the use of the trademark in commerce, especially if the trademark has been in use before the filing date.

The cost of filing a trademark application in India varies depending on the number of classes of goods or services for which the trademark is being registered.
The current fees are as follows:
- Single class: ₹2500
- Two classes: ₹4000
- Three to four classes: ₹6500
- Five or more classes: ₹8000
There are also additional fees for filing a power of attorney, if an agent is filing the application on behalf of the company, and for requesting expedited examination.
